Por cuanto hice y por cuanto dije
que no traten de encontrar quién era yo.
Un obstáculo se alzaba y transformaba
mis acciones y mi modo de vivir.
Un obstáculo se alzaba y me detenía
muchas veces cuando iba a hablar.
Mis acciones más inobservadas
y mis escritos más ocultos
-sólo por allí me entenderán.
Mas acaso no vale la pena gastar
tanta atención y tanto esfuerzo para conocerme.
Más tarde -en la sociedad más perfecta-
algún otro, hecho como yo,
ciertamente surgirá y actuará libremente.
